Last weekend fished for: catfish, crappie.
Zero crappie at any and every depth, hitting every pile using any and all color combo jigs-- no minnows used. Did manage four bluecats 3-4lbs each on live sunfish in 15-30fow on jugs. Also two small lmb on pink/chart 1/8oz crappie jig. Fished river channel in 70-80 fow with live sunfish and zeroed out there as well. According to some reports guides weren't doing well either. Water temp 80-82 deg, winds 5-15 from SW, water clarity 2 ft. Great time with family though. Will go again in a month or two
AND buy some minnows![]()

Would look in more shallow water right now. Have heard from some they have started moving from summer spot to fall and that means shallower water. I have not been myself so can't say any of this for sure. I for sure would look in 15' water or less right now. I did read someone catching some in 20' like 4' off the bottom?
