Does anyone know of any crappie clubs that have tournaments in and around the area from Toledo Bend south to Lake Houston and west towards Gibbons Creek? I read about the Bayou City Crappie Club in years past but haven't heard anything from them for the last couple of years or so, just looking for a little extra fun fishing some tournaments without having to drive over 3 hours to get there.
Go to http://www.lakehoustonfishing.com
Lake Houston has a Bragging Rights Tournament (BRT) usually the 2nd Saturday of each month.
There is no entry fee and all you win are BRAGGING RIGHTS for 1 month.
Mostly locals and we have as few as 2 or 3 boats and up to 7 or 8, sometimes more.
You can fish with a partner or alone. We can weigh in the 7 biggest crappie.
7-3 and weigh in is at BJ's Marina before 3:30PM
Click on crappie forum and search for the BRT tournament.
It is a fun tournament with some very nice guys (and ladies) attending.
The January tournament is actually on 1/23/16, which is tomorrow.
It was moved to allow the deer hunters a chance to bag a deer before the season ends.

cool deal, I'm headed there in the morning with a friend to fish Lucee, we're not launching at BJ's, we're launching at the ramp at the bridge.
Good luck!
