Default Toledo Bend Still A Guessing Game For Me!

I have not been able to go much for lots of reasons of which some were just weather! However I did get out Friday and my neighbor and I got 32 nice ones and should have had more, but we started out fishing my favorite way even though I had already decided I was going to need to fish different. Once we changed we started to catch! Anyway then the front came through and it was pretty darn cool and windy Saturday and the hig things was the fish caught a case of lock jaw! I couldn't believe we only caught one small crappie and he also caught 2 bass that were link 4" long each, LOL!He went for a little while yesterday and only got one, but the rain and wind picking up he loaded his boat and went home until next weekend.Seems staringe to me the way they are acting and my long lining has either been in the wrong water depth or something, but he fish are not were they are most every year! Seems casting for me is a must and I cast so little normally my shoulders both were in pain my the end of that day, LOL! It did work though!Skip

Yesterday afternoon and this morning in pretty bad wind I lost some time both days in places I shouldn't have been, but managed 16 and did get a few really nice White Crappie. Had 2 that were 14" or a little better and good size on most others, but a few small ones too. Almost all of them in about 9' water depth. It was very hard with the wind and my track didn't help either to stay where I wanted. Would end up in 10+ water and then iin 7' water, LOL!

Some of them gave the strangest bite I ever felt, can't even reslly describe a couple of them. I also lost 3 big ones due to me not handling the wind and TM the best. Other wise I believe I would have got them too. Let me tell you that first big White came up like a bass and the 2 nd time he was still behind the boat and he/she showed that huge mouth and I got a bit excited. The bigger ones sure we're pulling hard.

I think my color was Neon Yellow/Black/FL Yellow.
