    Default North Houston Crappie

I'm looking for a place to do some bank fishing for crappie in the North Houston area, any suggestions?

I can tell you about Lake Houston which is Northeast Houston...if you fish at the Ponderosa Boat Launch you may be able to catch a few around the bridge area there. Do a search for Huffman and look for Luce Bayou which goes under the Huffman Rd bridge. Easy to find. Small fee to fish I think it's $2 or $3 and $7 to launch a boat.
Also for a small lake there is James Muse Parkway Pond/Lake which is Northwest Houston. It is on the corner of 290 and James Muse Parkway. It is small but I catch crappie there all the time. They are deep now and that is an old quarry and they are deep off the bank. You can catch them if you have some heavy cranks or spinners to use. George, the owner cahrges $5 per fisherman and $20 to launch a boat.
    Good luck.
