They're hot at Toledo Bend shallow in the grass. Just got back, plenty fillets in the freezer.

Does any one know why the crappie are so slow this year? I've tried Joe Pool, Whitney, Alvarado and the Brazos river and only ones and twos and some smalls!!! I did catch the BIGGEST SLAB I've ever caught in my life last weekend on the Brazos River but I had to grind from sun up to sun down for it!!!I was ready to pull my hair out sell the boat and start bowling or something!
So what I'm getting at is does any one know where the crappie are at? Let me know I'll drive to other bodies of water if need be, but most around here are almost dry.

Yep, my buddy is up there right now, said he had 22 and it was only 8 am. We limited out the last 2 weekends
I figure it's going to be good for at least another month with the winter we had.

Have been catching fish on Granger, but mostly small males. Have had to work hard (all day) to get enough worth cleaning. Been skunked a few times as well.
Did limit out one day. had to fish all day to do that.

Still biting good at T-Bend. Limited out Saturday and Sunday.
Lavon has been hit or miss. Lots of smalls. Sees like 40 mph winds whenever I get to go.
