Are the crappie ready on Caddo Lake

Looking for some slabs on Caddo. Never fish it was told it about to get hot. Where is the best place to launch and fish

Well I grew up about five miles from the lake in a place called Karnack. You want to go to a town on the lake called (and this is not a joke.) Uncertain. I figure you will come down Hwy 43 south from up around Texarkana. When you cross the river bridge the road will start to climb. Once the road turns into a four lane road you want to take a left and go toward and past the state park. Next to the entrance to the park will be a little store called Fiffe's. Stop in and ask Mike what the fish are hitting on. Continue down this road to Uncertain. As you get into Uncertain there will be a large block building on your left. Just past this building the road turns to the left and forks to the right. Take the right fork and a little ways down on the feft will be a marina called Johnson's Ranch. This is the best place if you want to get into the fish quicker. You for sure want to have a lake map. I would recommend and area call Goverment Ditch. But not having been there in several months ask the people hanging around the marina what they recommend. Good luck let me know how you do.

Well be on Caddo from Mar. 23rd - Apr. 5th, staying at tuckers fish camp , been going down there every yr for over 25 yrs, we usually do pretty good that time of yr, mabe we could meet some of yall and swap lies.
