Default Just relocated to Austin Texas from California

    Hello Texas anglers.

The wife and I recently relocated from Sacramento California to Round Rock Texas. Once we settle in more we're going to hit the water's hard for sight seeing and of course fishing.

I still need to do some research on how much the license fee will be and how many fishing poles you can use California has a regulation of only two poles. I also plan to do some fishing in the Ocean/Gulf.

I can't wait to soak my Crawdad traps as well!

The 100 hooks is total. If you have a trotline in the water you have to take those into account. However I want to welcome you to GODS country. I grew up in ET and still think it is the greatest part. Have been thru Round Rock a few times. When you go to the coast of course you have to have a salt water tag now. Didn't use to have to have a salt water tag but the state saw another way to get your money. One of the greatest thrills on the coast is to go gigging for flounder. I think the limit is five. Back when I was doing it there was no limit on them. Good Luck.

While my son has caught flounder on a hook I never have. I am 61 and every flounder I have ever taken was by gigging. Nothing like it. Would love to go do it this next summer.
