welcome to the board!!!!!!!! there is a great little lake just south of you. Huntsville state park. it is catch and release for large mouth bass, but can keep everything else. watch for gators. about 200 acres, idle only. you can fish from the banks or three piers. have fun and let us know how ya do!!!! any other questions just ask, and if ya got a boat there are a lot more places to fish!!

Welcome to Texas and the board! It's a bit of a drive, but Sam Rayburn and even my Toledo Bend is not all that far. Lake Comroe was a great Crappie lake just a couple years back, but not sure what is going on there now, but have seen guys talking about them losing too many spawns? I never fished it my self, but just heard things. Still you should probably give that a shot as I have some customers that live and fish there.
