Scooter, I fish Eagle Mountain Lake from the West Bay Marina. Of course I fish from my kayak so don't get too far from the marina to fish. Normally the
area just out from the marina holds crappie certain times of the year, and when the lake is up to normal level......the boat slips are good fishing in
certain areas. Right now I'm still trying to find out where the crappie have moved to since I haven't caught any in my favorite spots. I'm on the North
edge of Azle on Hwy 730 North.

ok, I fish from a kayak too. I live in Saginaw, and fish the ssouth end mostly the EM Marina and the Twin Points area. I have recently put a few BP's in the marina and hope something will move in. I wish they would stock the lake, it hasnt been stocked in a long time.

I have found a spot that holds some really nice small mouth that I've been wanting to try. Got to have cooler weather and will find a close launch point
to get to the area without too much paddling. According to my source, pushin' cranks would be a great way to get deep enough to hook up with some.
It is one of those things I can't explain. Small mouth tastes good when fried up with crappie. Location is also hard to explain. I have to paddle there
before I know I'm there. Know what I mean?

LOL, I do. I havent been to the lake in 6 weeks or so. Last time I just took some worms and caught a ton of sunfish on the rocks of the marina. was actually a lot of fun. I have some really good spots for the spring that are very kayak friendly that produce tons of sandbass and cats. as for other times of the year I am still learning. Have yet to catch a crappie from that lake, but havent really tried all that much to be honest. Hoping the fall will allow me to do so. May be my BP's will produce a few for me.

Got outside today and tried to drive a couple of T post in the ground. Nearly had a heat stroke. Had to quit and download game camera SD card on computer and
cool down. Rained hard on I-30 just east of Aledo today, but nary a drop fell on Azle..............YET! Come on cooler weather. Lookin' forward to meeting up and giving
the cliff area a chance to produce.
