DO your best to leave a tiny space between the top of the barrel and the head or the paint will chip off when taking the foil off. You can turn it some right after dipping if it looks like it may do that. You can also heat the head some and just put a tiny bit of paint where it chips if it does. I don't usually have to do that, but every once in a while I do. I use a tooth pick to clear the eye of all my jigs right after the dip so you can use one of them to load a little paint on and dump it where it chips if it does. I do use wood tooth picks, round ones and I use a knife to whittle them a bit sharper so it thinner. I keep all of them in a little tiny bowl each with it's one color. I probably have over 50 tooth pick I use over and over and if the pair builds up on them I just use my thumb nail to scrape it off which has to be done a good bit.
