Default Group- North East Texas Lakes and Rivers

Thought i'd try this since Texas is so big to have one forum. Thought we might could get a few more locals involved because this is a great tool to share information gained on a daily basis by the ones on the water. Not just folks who live local but all who fish or want to fish local lakes. We have many good folks comin to our local hot spots, some who know them as well or better than some of us.

Marc, When I first joined this forum that was mostly who visited here and the majority of DFW people (Lake Fork and west) were on TFF. It was a pretty good group of guys and some reason most of them disappeared and either are lurking or have given up on either forums. I wish TX board was like it was several years earlier because we all had a good time.

That sucks. I still like to think we could build it back up a little. I know i'm kinda new here on the forum but have introduced a couple fishermen to it already. Don't think they've spoke up yet but definitely interested enough to get involved. We spend alot of time on the water and could use all the updates we can get. Can't believe I didn't know about this site or that so many others don't. Maybe that's why some have disapeared, being it got more statewide. Don't get me wrong, i love being able to read up on any lake i may be traveling to anywhere, but would also like to have a more local group with updates anytime a group member has the opportunity to chip in info.

Me and my buddy (Quicksilver) have toyed with forming a crappie club in the Longview area just for this very reason. I held a couple of tournaments this winter but I never have gotten a lot of interest in a club. With that being said if you need something just PM me.

Never fished a tournament in my life but the wife and i are avid fishers. Would do a tournament i reckon just never have. If I could find a local group or club i'd join. Not real interested in competin jus fishin. I like Catfishin just as much as Crappie fishin or any other, jus fishin and preferably catchin.

That's the way most folks are around here. I have no problem with that.

Probably fished a boat away from some of ya'll already and never new it. Seems I meet alot of folks at boat ramps but never keep up with whos who. Sure appreciate insider tips on what's happening where. My boat is the one in my pic. 16ft Riverhawk with a 9.9 merc. Looks just like a gheenoe boat.
