Lake Conroe this morning before the front

Got a late start this morning, actually I didn't even decide to go till 7:45. Left the house and got to the loop in Conroe and it started raining, debated about turning around but once I got on I-45 it quit so I kept driving. Started fishin at 9:10 and had 7 keepers by 9:30 when the wind and rain started, I quit at 11:45 when the it started whitecapping and the TM prop was coming out of the water. Ended with 16 keepers, no short fish. Smallest was 11 1/2". Every fish came at 28' deep in 32-34' of water. Jig bites were very, very light. Got my rear soaked heading back to the ramp with the waves bustin against the side of the boat....the heater felt really good once I got in the truck.

Nice catch were you vertical jiggin? My wife has family in conroe and cut and shoot

Yes, and holding it as still has I could....thats the only way they'd take it that day.
