    I Went to langham creek right outside of my neighborhood in houston tx yesterday and caught some crappie on blue an white jigs. One of them was about 9'' long and weighed about 1 1/2 - 2lbs. it got off right at the bank but i managed to get it before it got away. the rest were about 4''-5'' long. Who would ever expect to ever catch crappie in those little creeks?

    Did you happen to take a picture? I'd like to see a 9" crappie that weighs 1 1/2 - 2lbs, that sucker must been 2" thick and 10" wide!

    Are you sure it wasn't a displaced puffer from the ship channel?
