    Talking Lake O Pines - 10/2/09 -10/4/09

    Its been awhile sine I,ve posted on here and ever longer since we've (the wife and I) been CRAPPIE fishing. We didn't even purchase a fishing license at all last year. But last week we went to wally world and got one for this year.

    We loaded up the motorhome and headed to Buckhorn Creek Friday afternoon for the weekend. The weather was really nice Friday afternoon I got to the camp site about 3 o'clock to get the RV set up before the wife and daughter showed up. Lisa showed up about 6 o'clock with the boat. She got lost since this was her first time to the lake from the new house and it was a new route as well. She'll know next time.:D

    We got up around 8 oclock on Saturday morning had breakfast, and was on the water by 9:30. Breakfast sure is good sitting at a picknick table looking out over the lake. We broke from fishing around 2pm for lunch and for me to install a new fish finder that i had gotten for my birthday back in April, nothing like trolling blind up front with the wfe directing which way to go from the back of the boat.

    We were back on the water by 4pm and fished until about 6:30 loaded up and went back to the RV.

    Now for the fishing report::D:D
    Fish caught by me... Zero
    Fish caught by my wife.....Two (bass)
    Crappie..Zero
    Keepers....Zero::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    The rain started around the time it was getting dark Saturday night and it rained all night. It was still raining when we got up Sunday morning and we were heading back home around 9:30am. Got home in stime to catch the start of the Race and flip back and forth between the race and football games.

    Hey Murray it has been a long time!

    I wish you would have PM'd me I could have told you it was probably not quite time to hit LOP for crappie yet but I have heard of some good catfishing with all the water (up about 5 ft). Saturday was an excellent day to be out there though!

    That was very nice of you to let the wife out fish you. I would never let mind do that. I make sure I hand her minnows and before I hand her one I dip it in gasoline, Not Really!
    I love to watch her catch White Perch.
