Thread: lake houston slow 9-18-09

Lake houston was slow today we only had 7 keepers all on jigs. Water temp. was 80 degrrees when we launched.

I and 5 yr grandson fished ~4 hrs Friday also with jigs. Well, he may have fished an hr or less LOL but he did catch his 1st keeper Crappie (11") and that made his day. We only got 4 keepers (1 was just shy of 14"). He helped me clean em, bury the remains in the garden & then fry & eat em. The best part was listening to him tell his grandma, mom & dad the fish story.
Was a great day !!!
