Default Headed to Lake Nacogdoches in the morning- open backseat

Sorry for the late notice. I'm going to try my hand at fishing standing timber in the morning. If you see me trying to rock off of a stump please come and help.

    Default Lake Nac results

Here are the fish from today's excursion. Caught all these on a Chartreuse plastic grub over brush. Went stump jumping and got a big goose egg. The timber here is very large, but most of it doesn't have a lot of branches. Mostly just straight up and down. I'll definitely try it again though. I'm really loving jigs now. They don't mess with it like minnows. Every bite I got, I got the fish. They don't fool around with these things.

Largest today was right at 16 inches.

Could this be in a Cingular commercial?

    Jacob645,
Watch fishing that straight up timber with few limbs.
    They are called Widow Makers.
They have a tendency to make Widows of your wives by breaking off - without warning - no wind or any visual cause - up high and the whole top portion comes crashing down on an unsuspecting fisherman.
Real, real bad when you are fishing alone.
Just be real careful around them.

start going out later in the day and I am game if you need another. I am not really allowed to go fishing anymore at night alone after I ended up sitting on a pylon and having to swim to the boat a few weeks back :-) I was not a happy camper and the wife went crazy when I had a lapse of judgement and thought she would think it was funny.
