Has anyone been on GCL this year?

    Do any good?

Are the water levels back to normal? or at least able to launch a boat?

I heard they were still having difficulty getting boats in. How big a boat can you launch right now? Been once and got in the lake but liked to of not got out. Someone said they took a backhoe to the end of the ramp and dug out about three ft. Should have fixed the dang ramp right so people can use the resource.

Anyway glad to hear some people are able to lainch there.

I went last friday, backed in great and pulled out great. I would say if the water drops any then you might have some trouble.

Thanks Hat, I may try it tomorrow. Only fished it once last year and caugth only a few but they were nice fish. Not real optimistic fishing behind this front but who knows.

CH, I thought you were fishing the foot today?

Line your boat up with the ramp that goes to the pier go straight away from it. watch for the creek channel. when you find the channel there is a huge dozer pile just as it comes back up. Good luck.

I was...the lightning wouldn't let me get the boat cover off. Boats still sitting outside hooked up and getting soaked with rain. Wish the cover was off and I was in it. I may go to my secret spot this afternoon for a few hours if it looks like the weather will cooperate. Stinks! Same weather patterns as last year. Hope it changes or the retired guys are going to be the one's having all the fun. :D
Us working stiffs will be fishing every weekend behind a front.

I've heard that there are some pretty good fish in there. Lots of flooded timber and bushes. There should be anyway. The bass are king though. They got some in there as big as nuclear subs.
