Last time I fished I had to jump a log to get back in there. Is that log still there in the channel as you go back in through the channel? Haven't done very good with the crappie back there but at that time I didn't have a spiderig system either. Did catch some nice bream off the trees though.

    Default Perryville Pumpstation

I assume you are talking about the pumpstation at beech bend. If so the water on the other side of the road is beech river. Here we call it perryville pump station. The pump station on the other side of the river mentioned in the previous post is Spring Creek Pumpstation. Just wanted to clarify. There is also two other pumpstations in the area Gumdale pumpstation, and Busselltown pumptation (on tnwr). All of these are landlocked except Spring Creek pumpstation which can be accessed via a cut in east bank of tn river just north of hwy 412 bridge.

Thanks Slayer. I had been confused about which pumpstation we were talking about. I have fished the one at mousetail before. I have seen the one at beech bend but hadn't fished it. I never thought about there being crappie there though. I always just thought of that area as shallow backwater. I guess there is a ramp right by the station for a reason though. Can you even get back to the Mousetail one at winter pool? I'm thinking I might have to try 'em this weekend. I have a lot of honey-do's but the fever is getting bad!

The one there at Beech Bend looks like a big pond but if you keep on going to the back you will see a little channel that you can take and it opens up back in there and that is where I have seen the majority of the fishermen.

Been a couple of years since I've been but from I remember there are quite a few stumps and lays downs in there to fish. Guys will also go back there and spiderig.

Would you risk Beech bend in a fiberglass rig? I don't know if i've ever seen one in there.
