Reelfoot trip march

I just made reservations at State park the second week of march. It was closed down last year. I had to use vacation time before April. I have never been to this lake before. I’m sure it will be better then northern Illinois at this time of year
last year in drove through the area on way to Atchafalaya River. I did not do good down there. Six fish in five days it was hot and flooded
All the boats i saw headed to Reelfoot seemed set up for spider rigging
I plan on jig and boober by trees. I have live scope
boats is a Jon boat with 25 horse or a deep v boat that has 115 and 10horse motor
any tips

I was duck hunting there earlier and the lake is very low. I mean LOW. If that does not work, look at KY and Barkley Lake.

In chickened out and canceled. I may try Reelfoot in the future for a few days as I want to try Arkansas someday.
In was going to overnight last year at Bluebank. They have a camper section. I may have read it wrong but there was a seven day minimum last year. Now there is daily rates
I like Kentucky lake I took a few years off but went again last three years. The experts say to go after Easter when lake begins rising. I still have some well in last week of march for multispecie including crappie

I am contemplating lake Talquin and the Dead lake near by in Florida for march. Talquin saved my lake Seminole trip a few years back Seminole was flooding and Talquin was perfect I did well on a couple day trips at Talquin when the Seminole flooding shut the fish off

If you look from Pensacola over to Seminole N of I-10, there is a whole bunch of water to fish on Google Maps. Good luck.

Sardis, MS lower lake has been hot for the last few weeks. No size limit but 10 keepers per day limit. Some people are catching a limit of good size crappie in an hour or so. I want to go but wife's health has me staying home.

My son and I are going down the last weekend of March and it will be our first time down there. I know the water has been low, but has the crappie fishing really dropped off that much?

SodaPop you might want to find the Reelfoot Facebook Page. There are guides and such on that page. You might find some helpful info. I spoke w/ a friend the other day who lives over that way that has a friend who has been catching them w/ forward facing sonar. Good luck....I would get a guide if I was going for the first time.

Alot of stumps in that lake. Be carefull!
