Good crappie report 3/28/23

Jay W and I got on the water a little after noon and fished until 3:45 pm and landed 25 keeper sized crappie, 2 small largemouth bass, 2 yellow bass and one tiny Warmouth bass.

We fished shallow water and tightlined 1/24 oz jigs with plastic 2” lures and the fish were fairly active. We only had a couple over 12” but they were fat and sassy. The majority were males, but a few were females that will spawn before long. Water temp was 64.9 degrees and we had a north wind blowing less than 10 mph but we were in a protected cove off the main river.
