Fireworks last night and fishing like fireworks early this morning for Dr Phil and me. First two hours of a 3.5 hour morning was great, then we moved out of the feeding spree and only caught a couple of stragglers with one being a beautiful Smallmouth bass. The Smallie was just short of keeper size so he got a reprieve.

We landed 10 keeper crappie, one keeper Largemouth bass, one keeper Spotted bass, 1 yellow bass, and 3 short crappie. I did most damage on the crappie with a black/chartreuse Crappie Magnet. Later on Baby Shad baits to catch the bass. Phil stuck with Bobby Garland Blue Thunder to land his fish.

The fish were about 15-18 feet deep. Some were offshore and some were on structure very near the shoreline.
