Welcome 2020, glad to be here part of this great Community of Fishermen and Fisherwomen! The end of the last decade was full of the usual hustle and bustle of Holiday cheer....and grand babies with bicycles!

The last fish I caught of 2019 was a short little Spotted Bass in Panther Creek on Cherokee Lake.

The wind was howling 20mph and the water was dirty and stirred up to say the least, but it was 72 degrees. 3 days later and we have had 2.5 inches of rain and snow showers are forecast tomorrow afternoon. Welcome to East TN. I did manage a quick trip this afternoon after work and the first fishies of the new decade......more Spotted Bass.

A crook backed specimen, sort of a common thing here, not sure why though. Caught on a Trout Magnet in Sowbug on my UL, a couple more came to hand.

As the fog set in and another round of rain showers began, I realized how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful area of the country and enjoy the finned friends that swim in our waters. Hope everyone has a great year, on and off the waters!
