Last week ET Fish asked me the status of the spawn. Tonight’s short pictorial should answer that question. After work I took the boat to Douglas to fish with the new guy that just moved down from up North, to show him some fish in his cove, hopefully in site of his dock. Water temps at 67.8 when I got there at 5pm, and on the second brushpile in 12-15ft water-Bang, a male dressed up in his best Tux came to the net.

I told New dude to pitch his offering right back beside the tree limb and whack!! He thought he had a Bass, but I grabbed the net and old Big Girl came up and into the boat.

A little over 13, he was stoked. Several more mated pairs were caught.

Color and lure of choice was a Trout Magnet on a 1/32oz lite wire jig head in Sowbug color. The final fish of the night sealed the deal.
