Lost Creek ramp area
Does anyone/has anyone fished this area of Tim's Ford? We were looking on map and trying to decide what area would be best for our trip. We kayak fish so some of the larger bodies trying to navigate is out of the question. Any information and help would be so greatly appreciated.

I'll try to answer some ?'s for you regarding the area lakes. Tims Ford, Wood's and Normandy all have areas that are easy to kayak fish. Also, the Duck and Elk rivers are great for kayaking with sections for trout and sections for Smallmouth, black perch, crappie and catfish. These are easy to access. Tim's Ford has several ramps to launch your kayaks. Woods and Normandy have easy access points in several areas. Kayaking is always safer and more fun during the week, as all these areas have heavy boat traffic on the weekends. I can answer specific ?'s if you"ll pm me with your phone #. Good luck

If you are coming to crappie fish, the upper end of the lake is most productive. There are lots of docks and placed cover on that end. Maybe look at Rock Creek, Devils Step or Winchester Bass Club. Good luck.

The area above the causeway there on Lost Creek(just a couple hundred yards from the ramp) should be nice and quiet for the kayak. I have caught a couple crappie back in there, but it was a looooong time ago. On down the main section of the creek can be wake boat city during the warm months.
