Good job you guys, nice mess there. That's about all I want to clean at one time anyway.

I took the wife fishing today on Percy Priest. We launched about 5:45 and started off long lining 4 jigs and 2 crank baits. It didn't take long to catch the first one on a crank bait and then another. Pretty soon, we switched over to 4 crank baits and 2 jigs as it was obvious that the crank baits were out fishing the jigs. On the second pass out by the river channel we got hit by a hybrid bass - that was fun until it got off right at the net. We fished until the wife said it was time to go - she has back problems and usually can only last 4-5 hours on a fishing trip. We ended up with 13 keepers, 1 short throw back, and a short lgm bass plus a couple of crappie that managed to spit out the lure close to the boat. All in all a pretty good morning. Here's some pics...

What is the name of that crank bait ? Looks wider than I use, that fish has a wider mouth and really wanted it. Thanks for the post and the pictures
That's an Academy house brand H2O Express CRULD in chartreuse. It dives 5-7 feet and is a real crappie catcher - one of my go to baits. My local Academy doesn't sell these in the store anymore, so I have to order them online. I usually buy 5 at a time about once a year.

Hey! Thanks for the info, leave some for us rookies. I'll bet that fisher with the blue toenail polish does most of the catching which makes you just the driver ;-) again thanks for the reply--------------- Midtin
Your welcome. Today we had a 12 inch crappie engulf a Bomber crank bait in a hot craw color, chartreuse belly. Both treble hooks were in its mouth.
