First night fishing trip to Dale Hollow

Well, I had been wanting to go fishing for some crappie at Dale Hollow for quite some time and a good friend of mine made that dream become a reality and I am hooked! We got there about 630, found our spot and got set up. It was my first experience fishing under the lights and watching the minnows come up...very well could be one of the coolest things I have ever got to experience and I am planning on making it something I do at least a couple times a month. I got home about 3 am and went to bed and when I woke up I took my little girl out with me to clean the fish. She was so excited and was screaming "crappie!!!"...starting her young and looking forward to many more trips like this.

Have you been able to make it back out to Dale Hollow recently?

No....but my buddy is heading over this weekend hoping to find some out-of-the way places to try for gills during daytime,
and a friendly dock to try for crappie under the lights. I will let you know if he had any luck.
