First trip to Reelfoot
My first trip to Reelfoot looking forward to it heading up Thursday midday stay until Sunday night I'm a Hoosier so don't know what to expect.hear there's a lot of stumps going to idle every where I go, hope to catch some slabs will give conditions when I find out what they are. Any help would be appreciated.

Fished Reelfoot this past Saturday. Water is high enough that stumps are not a huge problem. We fished all over the place and never hit a stump. That said, I wouldn't go running top speed out across the lake. Just take your time and be watchful. Fishing was off last Saturday, at least for us and the dozen or so anglers we talked with. We ended up with 15 keepers. We caught fish 5 ft deep in 8 to 10 feet of water and 10 ft deep in 12 feet of water, spiderrigging. Hit mostly minnows. Saw a guy catch 4 or 5 nice fish about 3 ft deep in 6 ft of water. The SWAN Basin area and Keytstone area are two good places to try. Mainly just watch for all the boats gathering. That is always a good indicator at Reelfoot.
