    Default Caney Creek

Started today about 10:45am and quit around 3:30pm. Trolled some coves and only picked up 4 keepers. After about 1 1/2 hours of that we decided to try the shallow water. We single pole fished in 5ft of water under a float. They were hungry in there today. Picked up 16 more nice keepers for a total of 20 keeper fish and only 4 throwbacks.

Good for you, FA .... looks like Caney Creek is coming back strong !!

Just a question, if you don't mind (and if you don't want to tell the world, you can PM me the answer) :

I know they tore things up pretty good when expanding the park & adding the RV area ... but, when they cleaned up and left, did they leave any of the timber & brush piles that were in that cove between the old park & the newer additions, did the TWRA sink any more in the creek, or have most all of them deteriorated and been washed out ?? I really do want to put Caney Creek back on my list of places to try when I come down ... so thanks for any info you're willing to share.

There is quite of bit still between the green buoys. On up in the cove dosen't seem to be much. That cove was hot last week. Got my limit in there pretty quick.
