Default Jigging rod for Realfoot Lake?

I’ve never jigged cypress trees, and want to make the trip down to realfoot and give it a try. Since it is something new, it is also a good excuse to get a new set-up specifically for the tress. Not sure what would be best, and I’m looking for suggestions. Specifically, looking for suggestions on rod length/action/brand. I like hi-vis braid for my jigging, will that be suitable?

Actually ANY information on jigging cypress trees would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Call Grizzly Jig Co. Seriously, they are good folks and can set you up. I got one from them several years ago and love it. They are just down the road from Reelfoot and most of their instructional videos were shot there.

Grizzly Elite is all I use jigging. I prefer the 12' model, but that's just my choice. 10' or 11' might fit you better. Grizzly has a good supply of them on hand and they will fix you up. They have extra tips in stock as well. You probably won't need an extra tip unless you slam it in the car door. Those are the toughest jig poles I've ever had in my hands.
