Default Slow morning on the Hiwassie 10/02/2017

It was a slow morning for my friend, Wayne Davis, and I on the Hiwassie river. We fished from daylight to 11:00 AM and I caught 4 keepers. We each had a few smaller crappie and Wayne caught one trashy green fish that was quickly released. Bobby Garland Minnow Mind'Rs were the lures that we caught fish on. Glacier and Cicada colors.

I caught the smallest crappie that I have ever been able to land. I was surprised to find this fish 18 feet deep. I think that it was trying to commit suicide. If it keeps hanging out that deep, something will put him out of his misery. Grin.

Good report. We went yesterday afternoon / evening and got skunked. I don't usually load the boat, but rarely get skunked? High pressure and NE winds?
