Default Fishing report Chickamauga Lake 10-13-2017 Pitiful Catch

My friend Jerry and I meet at the boat ramp about 8 am and fished until after lunch. We fished a little bit of everything. Bluffs, docks, blowdowns and open water...could not get the crappie to bite.

Ended the day catching a total of 9 with 3 keepers. Single poled fished using various colors of Bobby Garland Baby Shad on 1/32 oz. and 1/15 oz. Water temp. was 74* in the morning and got up to 76* by the time we quit.

Beautiful weather. The air temp. got up to 85* as I was driving home. During the day we saw some wildlife. A fox and deer on the way to the boat ramp and a Bald Eagle in one place we fished.

Sorry about not taking any pictures. I will try to do better next time.
Life is good. Fishing is better.

Nice report! Could always be worse. I've had plenty of stretches where 9 total and 3 keepers would be pretty good for a half day.

Bob, it looks like we picked a good time to go to Gulf Shores and miss this slow fishing. Grin. I'm thinking of getting after them some this week. A trip below Watts Bar for white bass and/or Striped Bass is in my blood and thinking also. At least you didn't get skunked.
