I spent about 20 minutes trying to get mine started one time before I realized it was in gear. Then there was the time that I put my drain plug in the drain hole for the live well... Who'd have thought they'd make those two holes the exact same size. Narrowly avoided a huge catastrophe on that one. Luckily got to shore before it went under. Took me forever to figure out where the leak was coming from.

can't believe you guys have such problems. I solve it by fishing with my buddy on his boat and HE works on marine motors. Man has to know his limitations and pick your fishing buddies wisely. even with him motor stalled out on us saturday and had to be towed in but good news is he figured out what he needed, needle valve holder disintegrated, went to orshlen's and bought .28 grommet that fit just fine and we were back running. wish rest of story was as good as yours, crappie didn't want to play tho we could see them in brush but at least the drum did.
Good story so many here can relate to and glad your guy figured it out for you and you had that dang moment and actually got to catch enough for dinner.
Good job and good story.
Glad you were able to get back under power.
Some nice fish and glad to see the Loudon fish are going to get started.
