Douglas lake info
Went out last weekend to Douglas. Water temp is still hovering 74 to 76. Trolled with boards using jigs . Saw alot of fish is up about 7.5 feet in 30fow of water. Only caught a couple crappie. Switched to dipsy divers trolling and pulled in a 15.5 inch white bass. Still need some cooler temps before they get to biting good again.

Thanks for the update I have been pushing cranks about 22 to 24 ft deep and catching 30 to 50 and no keepers. Thanks again

That's something I've done very little of is using cranks. Thinking of buying a few and giving it a try. How are u getting them to that depth?

I run 2 ozs sinker in front of it. The Arkie that John sells on this site is great and not to costly. I have had a lot of luck with them and a great time using them. Back to the cranks I run 2 ozs in front of them when pushing them takes about 32 to 35ft of line at 1.8 mph or so. Good luck if I can help you in any way just ask. I also use 14 ft PST and love them.
Thanks

Ranger361. Thank you for this tip. I fish almost exclusively from my kayak now. I need the exercise and it's just more fun for me. I have wanted to try cranks but knew I couldn't generate the speed to get to the depths. I could use extra weight on a longline rig (weight, bead, swivel) and tie on a crank.
