    Default Chickamauga Lake report...04/24/17

I went fishing around 12:30 pm today. Water was up - no surprise there. A good current flow to say the least. Fishing was great. I believe I caught four crappie over 13 inches and a 12 inch TARP ( Tennessee Angler Recognition Program ) yellow perch. I caught a lot of different species and both black and white crappie.

A few "magnum" yellow perch show up from time to time on the "Chick". I caught one a little larger a few years ago. I know Drumking and I believe Kingfish have caught TARP yellow perch in the last couple of years. I know numbers wise we've been very surprised how many we've caught this year.

Nice catch. Those yellow perch are really good eating. Wish I could find a bunch of those that size.

Hope you get out there soon and locate some big ones Candi. It's funny I just mentioned to you how our crappie fishing has been a little disappointing this year. The post spawn bite has been kind to us.
