Report: Chickamauga Lake, 4/9-10/17 MrS & DrumKing, Crappie

Had a couple outings last couple days. Sunday DK and I met at HBSP at 8am and off we went. We started out shallow looking for early spawner's, water temp at 63 that morning. We didn't have any luck with Crappie there but DK landed a nice 5 lb bass (trashy green fish) on a 2" Pan-fish Assassin jig. We left there and hit some deeper spots with brush from 10'-15' fow. No keepers for the 4 hour outing just shorts. The Crappie came mostly off brush cover and several jig colors,
Monday I woke up at 5 am and told my self, I said "Self, lets go fishing". So I hooked up and off I went. I started scouting in CFP running creek channels looking for schools. I finally found a spot that looked like a bridge trusses in 2 sections next to a creek channel, bait and larger fish galore. I wish I had a screen shot of it, and the canoe I found, finding that stuff with side imaging still puts me in awe. I sat on the trusses, in 12' fow for the 4 hours I was out caught 4 shorts and 3 keepers ranging from 10"-13" Pan-fish Assassin Crappie Dapper doing the hard work. Water temp was steady at 63.
