Ft. Loudon 3/24/17
My wife had to work today so I went by myself. Started out with minnows under a bobber today and did pretty well. Fished about 6 feet deep in 15 FOW over brush. Kept 8 for the freezer. Lots of short fish, and a lot of the keepers were barely 10". As my dad would say, "If he didn't have breakfast this morning, he wouldn't have made it." Water is stained, and pretty muddy in the creeks. Temp was 57-58 where I was fishing, right off the channel. Got started late because the bait shop was out of minnows, so I had to drive all the way to Lenoir City to put in. By then the wind had kicked up pretty bad so I couldn't try some of the spots I wanted to. I tried to throw a grub some, caught 2 on a shad/chartreuse Kalin's grub but it was so windy I couldn't feel my line so I stayed with the minnows.
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.
