    Default Woods 10-8 16

Lynn's brother Kevin and his wife Celeste have been camping at Woods and invited us out for a little time on the lake. They have a new to them pontoon boat that is pretty nice to fish out of. The winds were blowing 15 -25 as we headed out of the cove and decided better on that and headed back to the cove we launched from. Kevin and Celeste had found a spot earlier in the week that they had caught 25 or so off of so we tried there. It was a little slow but we did mange to catch about 15 fish in the 3 hours that we were out. I felt lucky that we had caught that with the wind and cold front coming through. Only 2 were keepers but it was a fair day considering. Celeste said they had lock mouth.
Water temp was 73, depth was 2o-25 ft deep fishing 4-12 ft down. Clear skies with big wind. Air temp was around 75 when we started and cooled to the 60's. There boat handled way better then I thought it would in that kind of wind. The boat came with a Lowrance mark 4 hdi fish finder that was all jacked up. Kevin did not know how to work it and I had trouble getting it to work properly. I asked if it would be alright to reset it and he said go for it. That pretty much did the trick except the down imaging was to dark and I could not figure out how to lighten it up. I use Humminbirds. Of course the reading the manual on these things is about worthless. Should have took pictures as I know some of you guy may have this unit and could help. If all things work out I will be at Tim's this weekend.
    Good fishing everyone.
