Chickamauga Lake report: 8/25/2016

I took the love of my life out fishing this morning. I wanted to scout a lot and fish a little as I hadn't been crappie fishing in over a week. I have been chasing Walleyes and Striped Bass.
I have a new favorite color. It is a Panfish Assassin in the 'Chicken on a Chain" color and it was red hot for the two hours that we fished before we stopped to go home and have breakfast.
Again, mostly scouting and not as much fishing for the two hours, but we did manage to bring home 8 or 9 keeper crappie for the freezer. I had given away all the crappie on our last trip to Louisiana to visit family.
We also caught every species of bass except white and Striped bass. 2 Largemouth bass, 1 Smallmouth bass, 3 spotted bass, and I don't know how many yellow bass, but a bunch. Grin.
I fished with Panfish Assassins and Wanda fished with a BG 2" Blue Ghost. It was a good color for her too. We doubled on bass a couple of times and Wanda photo bombed me in one pic. LOL
The fish are moving around a little bit and were in places that I have been expecting and looking for for over 2 months. They were showing up in those places today. Fish around 15 feet deep and we fished our plastics on a 1/16 oz jig head.Water temp 83.8.

It was a hot bite. One right after another at one certain off shore spot. Grin.
