Chickamauga Lake report: 8/05/2016

Dr Phillip and I had a short crappie trip this AM before it got too hot. Water temp this AM was 85.4 so it has cooled a couple of degrees during the past few days. I'm waiting on the 50-65 degree range. Grin.
We had 11 keepers with a couple of really nice fish. Phil got a 13.75" Black crappie and I had a 12.5" Black crappie and we both had a couple of 11-12" White crappie as well. I think that we had 4 White crappie keepers.
@Bass Assassin Panfish Assassins in Monkey Milk w/chartreuse tail, Blue Thunder w/chartreuse tail in the 1/16 oz size jig heads worked for me. Phil fished with Bobby Garland Blue Thunder to catch his fish. He also let a big fish break him off. We are thinking it could have been a big bass, but since we didn't see it, my boat rule says that it was a Drum. LOL
That's it until sometime next week. I must take my number one student fishing next week before she goes stark raving mad. She needs a crappie fix really bad. LOL
