Kentucky Lake Cranking Report July 8th

It was a hard day of fishing the water is up almost 2 feet, the wind had the bay in white caps, and the large amount of trash in the water. I would still consider it a good day. I caught seven crappie four were slabs. The fish were scattered around the edges. All of the structure I normally go over had no fish on them. Had almost no control of the boat my boat sits to high for very windy days. Splash bandits in chartreuse and black worked.

You're doing a lot better than I am on the north end. Storms and 15 inches of rain up here have killed the bite this week.

We're under a flash flood alert AGAIN.. Solid red on the radar training this way right now. Benton has missed some bad storms lately but not the last week.

We missed all of the rain. Nashville got it pretty good. I actually think the river rose here from your water up there, the water was stained but not muddy. You be safe. The Duck was not muddy coming into the main channel. I fertilized the lawn Wednesday expecting rain. Of course it hasn't rained. I guess I will wash a car tomorrow. I would gladly take some of your rain and I am sure you would give it all to us.
