    Default Fort Loudoun Report

With a couple of free hours, hit the closest spot to home, which is Ft. Loudoun. Accompanied by my better half, she proved the "better" part once again! Water temp was between 59 and 65, depending on where you were and depth. Caught fish from 4' to 10'. She used a generic red and chartreuse tube, and I use many lures, but had the best luck on Muddy Waters blue and chartreuse sparkle. A few of the males were dressed up. Finally, a question, look at the picture of the egg sack. Is this an indication of being about ready, or is it a sign that it ain't gonna happen? Forgive my ignorance, this is my second spring crappie fishing.Name: image.jpg

Can't answer your question on the egg sack but I fished on Loudon yesterday. Caught them in 8-10 FOW. Was fishing 4 lines, 2 with planer boards and 2 without. Caught all my fish in the planer boards.

This is definitely a spawning fish. Good report and catch.

Fished Ft. Nasty Saturday and didn't catch a keeper under a float so I started trolling and ended the day with 7 keepers. Tough!
