Default Bank fishing and jigging brush on Cherokee lake 4/13

After I finally found some brush in the water (Cherokee is still to low for my liking!) I caught some decent throw backs jigging and let a good one get off. I worked last night and had to work my last shift tonight so I was thinking of calling it a day. Couldn't resist fishing five more minutes and boy am I glad I did. Caught my biggest crappie to date. It weighed 2.5 lbs and was 16 1/4"!!! Yes I know these are normal on other lakes but I was tickled to get her. Looked like she already spawned or she probably would have pushed the 3 lb mark! Maybe one day I will get one of those!
