Ky rig or Capps and Coleman rig?

Hi everybody, when I started spider riggin I used to use the ky rig with great success, but when I heard of Capps and Coleman rigs and that you can get them at Walmart I switched to them exclusively because of convenience and popularity. Lately from fishing other waters I've noticed quite a few misses on hook set on light bites and I read of a tournament crappie fisherman that switched to the ky rig because of that same issue and he claims his misses have went down drastically since changing. He said he keeps the minnows close to main line and it creates less slack for quicker line set. So what do you like best Capps and Coleman rigs or the ky (Kentucky lake) rig?

I like to tie my own dropper loop rigs. I have drilled holes in my workbench which I place finishing nails to make a "form board" or "peg board" which simplifies tying the loops and you can make consistent size rigs. I use snap hooks on both ends of the rig after tying the loops. I open the ends of the snap hooks and insert one end in a fun noodle, the wrap the remaining line, then insert the other open snap into the fun noodle. This holds the lines in place. This works fine. There are some good videos on making drop loop rigs peg boards on you tube. Easy to do. I also make my crank leaders with pegs. I also have snap swivels on the crank leaders. Quick and easy.
