Heeey...I have some planer boards, but haven't used them yet. I seen your post here on this, and got to wondering how deep is to deep to use the boards?
Looks like if you wanted to get deeper with the boards, you add more weight?, but then again how much weight. The boards and long lining get my brain twisted, but I know they work great...

No rule on how deep is too deep. If you can get the lure down to the fish, that's all that matters. As stated above, some use 1/8's under boards and catch fish. Just need to find out what the fish want on that particular day. I sometimes run double jigs under the boards to get a bit deeper and catch fish.
