Glen Springs was one of the first to go to the 8 inch limit and imo it has helped tremendously. I caught several there the last couple trips that would have been keepers even if the limit was 10 inches. And it is one of the biggest of the twra managed lakes.
Herb Parsons finally went to the 8 inch limit a couple years ago and I have had good luck there but the white bass will drive you crazy if you are using minnows.
Big Hill Pond State Park..Travis McNatt Lake......was full of crappie last time I fished it......which was 2003.

How is the ramp at Big Hill Pond SP? It says on the website that it's really steep and you need 4wd to launch?
I've caught lots of small crappie at Glenn Springs in the past. I'd go there if I thought there was anything of size in the lake. As deep as it is and as many trees and other structure, one would think you could do some vertical jigging.
I never had any problems using that ramp. I saw lots of folks launch with two wheel drive.

Not a bad day. Those white crappie were some of the biggest I've caught out there. Now that I think of it, I don't think I've caught a whole lot of white crappie there?
Whiteville?
Yup
Only thing I've ever caught there is bluegill and little bass. Those little bass eat ok , so I keep as may as I can.
I gave up on Glen Springs. All that grass or weeds drive me nuts.
