Change of Crappie Venue

After running around on Watts Bar the past few weeks I've made my way back to Tellico to wet a line for a few hours. I visited a few familiar locations to try to entice a strike before dark set in. Verticle jigging is the only presentation I could draw a strike on. But this was only after bumping around in the strike zone for quiet a while. Swimming the bait was a fruitless effort. Water temp was 67. Lure was a 3" orange/chartreuse twitch tail minnow rigged on a 1/4 oz jig head.

Thanks Geno, that helps confirm what I was thinking after my last fishing trip this past Sat. I caught some about 8' fow and most fish a foot or two off the bottom. I just was slow to pick up on what was happening before I had to leave.
