West and Big Sandy

Long lining I usually start at .8 mph, fastest I've caught them was 1.2 mph and slowest was .4. Wife and I fished Friday and didn't catch a keeper, we wanted to get out past the power lines but the wind didn't allow that. We did catch a lot of short fish so it wasn't boring at all, from 8 to 4 caught 60 to 80 shorts with a yellow belly mixed in every once and a while. Of coarse after the fact we were told they are catching them meaning keepers in Blood river. Didn't fish Saturday or Sunday but will be back up there the weekend before Christmas. :)

I guess we'll just have to practice on them until they grow up.

Fished Sandy today only 2 keepers a bunch of those stinkin yellow belly bass missing up my line.

Try trolling in 5 foot of water, about 2.2 mph with black & chartreuse or with blue black chartreuse, try the back of the coves early in the mornings, look for the shad. LOL Try this you will catch fish.

Back of lots our coves are dry land now. Lake is down 5 feet. Other coves have a land bridge blocking entrance and we also have hidden sand points everywhere. If you are not familiar with the lake, well God help yo skag.

Went out yesterday, beautiful day, the lake was glassy hardly no wind, perfect.....caught only 4 keepers, but they were all over 12 inches, one was 14 inches, caught them in 14ft of water holding tight to cover, had to troll extra slow about .2 -.3 mph.
