Chickamauga Lake 9-19-15 ...with Debbie

A much improved crappie bite on the "Chick" Saturday. Debbie and I fished minnows and various color jigs out of the pontoon from 10 am until 2:30 pm. We caught 26 crappie with a a great ratio of 22-23 keepers. They lucked up as all fish were released. Our best crappie was a 13.5 inch black and a white crappie near 13 inches. A good mix of other fish including 3 small bass...2 bream...1 channel cat...1 flathead...1 drum. The fishing from 10 am until noon was great and the last two hours was very slow. We caught our best fish in 12-14 feet and as deep as 21 feet.
