Default Report: Chickamauga Lake crappie 8/09/2015

The Chattanooga Crappie Club had our 2nd fishing seminar today. Four instructors taught 7 students/fisherpersons some of the techniques that we slightly more experienced crappie fishermen employ. It was my lot to teach the off shore structure techniques that I use to locate, mark, and fish these structures. From map reading to actually going to the spots on the water, and dropping marker buoys in the correct spot and then positioning the boat for proper presentation. Your location may be perfect, but if we don't get presentation correct, then we might go fishless on a big school of crappie. Grin. We might not get a bite anyway if the fish are in a negative mood.

We each took out a couple of anglers for an hour apiece and then returned to the dock and picked up two more until we had rotated through all the students who wanted to ride around with us and learn off shore, dock shooting, bluff/deep water brush, and electronics. We all had fun today. Fishing time was very limited so, we didn't have a lot of fish caught, but we at least managed to catch 1 or 2 from each group that I took. I only took 2 pics. Should have taken a pic of each group. Hind sight is always 20:20. Grin.

That's a mighty good program to share experience and knowledge to those who want to learn more.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Great job. Always good to teach people how to fish.
