This was my first night trip this season, and overall it was a pretty good night. We started around 7:30 to get our bearings, and also to do a little scouting. Began fishing a little before dark, and managed to catch a couple keeper crappie, a yellow perch, couple of stripes, and a LM. Around 10;30, it got good! Fishing with BGBS in Electric Chicken and Devils Grin (?) with some chartreuse CB Sliders, tipping with Crappie Nibbles when there was time, even though it didn't seem to matter! Most fish were about 10' deep in 20 - 28 FOW. The choice areas were lighted docks in deeper water with noticeable bait fish. Probably caught 25-30, but about half were short fish as is typical on Tellico. Kept 10 crappie and the perch (about 15") for supper tomorrow. Because of morning commitments, had to quit around 11:15, but definitely left 'em biting! The last 45 minutes, almost every cast resulted in a bite. For the next couple of months, the nighttime will be my time!!! Sorry for no pictures, but it's dark and I'm tired!!
Good report and good trip for sure.
